AS-Suzanne Ondrus: Poetic Travel to a Sensational and Scandalous 1881 Incident in Ohio In-Person

Like to know Ohio history? Interested in women’s issues? Travel to Bowling Green in 1881 and learn about Carl and Mary Bach who were German Ohio farming immigrants, the local 1881-1883 news, and the sensational event of 1883-- the last man hung in Wood County, Ohio. In conjunction with presenting the case and its photos, award-winning poet and WG alumna Suzanne Ondrus will present her forthcoming poetry book based on it: Death of an Unvirtuous Woman. Trigger warning, this talk deals with murder and violence.
