Geauga Skywatchers: Make a Star Pointer

Geauga Skywatchers: Make a Star Pointer  In-Person

In the days before smartphones, star pointers were a nifty, home-made devices to identify when and where a particular star was visible (and to identify unknown stars).  “What star is that: Arcturus or Spica?  Can we see Betelgeuse tonight?”  In this make-and-take program, you’ll create a handy cardboard star pointer to help you find the answers!

Geauga Skywatchers  is an astronomy presentation series founded by a collaboration of organizations interested in promoting scientific thinking to the young and young-at-heart through the study and practice of astronomy.
