Virtual Program Microbe Wars: Tuberculosis, Spanish Influenza & Polio in Lake & Geauga Counties

Virtual Program Microbe Wars: Tuberculosis, Spanish Influenza & Polio in Lake & Geauga Counties Online

“Over a century, tuberculosis, the Spanish Influenza, and polio haunted the nation, impacting lives across Northeast Ohio. Hear the remarkable stories of polio survivors Ida Brinkman & Donna McGwinn, who claimed back their lives despite the odds.  Learn about one local institution that has its own curious tale.  Learn the stories of area soldiers who succumbed to the Spanish Influenza: two in France and two more at Camp Sherman in Ohio, and more stories of local people of the past who lived in times like those we live in today."
