What is an Illuminated Manuscript? In-Person
The beautiful art of illumination is alive and well and thriving today, but do you know its history? Roman, Insular, Gothic, Renaissance, and Modern are styles of illumination. What do they mean and what do they look like? Learn some history of the art and then learn to create your own illuminated letter - but you won't need special paints and supplies. You can create beautiful letters with easily obtained markers, pencils and pens.
