Sgt. Alvin York: a walking tour of his battlefield in France In-Person
Sgt. Alvin York, although entering the army as a conscientious objector, is the most celebrated soldier of World War I. A Croix de Guerre and Medal of Honor recipient, he single-handedly outshot an entire German machine gun battalion in the battle of Meuse-Argonne.
