Learn about NE Ohio’s first people - pre-historic Native Americans, including the “Whittlesey Focus” culture, which lasted for over 500 years and disappeared about 375 years ago.

Cheryl McClellan, retired Geauga County Public Library genealogist, established a pre-historic Native American program at Lake County History Center, with a grant from the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation.  Advisors included archaeologist Brian Redmond and artifact specialist Mike Fath.
