Genealogical Society - Who were Northeast Ohio’s Pre-historic Native Americans? Online

This program is a part of the monthly Ohio 250th Commission themes celebrating our nation's 250th anniversary: Ohio's Firsts & Originals.
Learn about NE Ohio’s first people - pre-historic Native Americans, including the “Whittlesey Focus” culture, which lasted for over 500 years and disappeared about 375 years ago.
Cheryl McClellan, retired Geauga County Public Library genealogist, established a pre-historic Native American program at Lake County History Center, with a grant from the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation. Advisors included archaeologist Brian Redmond and artifact specialist Mike Fath.
