Property Tax Changes: What They Could Mean for Our Public Services, Schools, and Geauga County In-Person
The Geauga County Auditor's Office, the League of Women Voters of Geauga, and the Geauga County Public Library will host a moderated educational program about property taxes — how they work and how they support services in our community. This program brings together a panel of local leaders, including township elected officials, representatives from local governments, and school officials, to explain how property tax revenue is allocated and used within their organizations. The objectives for this program are to define, describe, and inform:
- What services are provided and how are they funded?
- What service changes could look like if property taxes are abolished?
- What are the other funding options for services if property taxes are abolished?
Attendees can submit questions at the event.
