Maker Space Training: Laser Engraver

Maker Space Training: Laser Engraver In-Person / Online

This is the mandatory training session for the laser engraver in the Geauga County Public Library’s maker spaces. The laser engraver can engrave wood, metal, plastic, glass, leather, and cardboard. You can also cut certain materials with the laser. Learn how to engrave and cut flat and cylindrical objects like a drinking glass so that you can come to the Bainbridge branch or to the Chardon Creativity Center and create your own one-of-a-kind items.

All ages welcome to attend the training session. Children under 15 need a guardian with them to use the laser engraver. The guardian must also attend this training before helping a minor with the engraver. If you will require assistance, the library recommends finding your own assistant, who must also attend this mandatory training before working in the maker spaces. This training will cover both laser engravers available in the Geauga County Public Library system.

Must have a Clevnet or Geauga County Public Library card to sign the user agreement at the end of the session.
