Let's send a little love to brighten the spirits of our Geauga County seniors who are homebound or in local senior care facilities. Holidays can be difficult for those who are alone, but it can be especially difficult for our seniors who are in residential care. To combat this, we are calling out to our GCPL community to make handmade Valentines for these special people. Last year, thanks to your generosity and kindness, 1,623 cards were delivered by our Mobile Services Department to homebound seniors and those living in nursing home facilities.  In fact, there were so many cards that we were able to provide the Geauga County Department on Aging valentines to deliver with their mobile meals. 
"GCPL loves you!" Senior Valentine Craft Bags will be available at each branch beginning on January 15, 2025, while supplies last.  **NEW this year** we have group kits available by request for scout groups, 4-H, church groups, etc. You may ask for them at any branch. 

Valentines for Seniors Craft Stations will be located in each branch from January 15 - February 5, 2025.  

GCPL will provide the cardmaking supplies and embellishments needed to make the valentine cards. You may also use your own materials to make them.   

Drop your cards off on or before February 5, 2025 at any branch. Our Mobile Services team will deliver these cards to our homebound patrons and senior care facilities around Geauga County in time for Valentine's Day.   

Note: Please do not put your valentine card in an envelope. You may sign your name, but don't address it to a specific person.
